My client is currently looking for a Consultant Psychologist for their service in Dundee.
My client cares for and support adults living with a learning disability or autism in specialist hospitals and residential services throughout the UK.

Their purpose is to make a positive difference to the people and their families by delivering person-centred health and social care that helps their service users to fulfil the things they want out of life.

They set high standards for their staff teams and we want people who are compassionate, trustworthy and resilient but most importantly, put the service user at the centre of all they do.

 

So what will the job involve?

You will ensure the systematic provision of high-quality psychological service to my clients services in Scotland and exercise your responsibility for systematic governance of psychological practice with the team.

A major requirement of the job is to act as a highly specialist resource to the wider professional community and to carry out audits, policy and service development as well as research activities and/or programs.

As a specialist within your field, you will propose and implement policy to promote service development alongside the multi-disciplinary team.

Based in Dundee, the successful candidate will provide Psychology cover to all company Services in Scotland.

Location Information

Situated in a residential area of Dundee, the Hospital provides assessment and intervention for up to ten people with learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum disorder, as well as complex needs and behaviours. The team can also support those who have additional mental or physical health needs, as well as those who have been detained under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act. People come to the Hospital from a home environment, supported living or residential service due to an illness or a crisis in their life. They may also come following a stay at an NHS or other specialist learning disability service, including a secure service.
